What I offer
I am a freelance translator and editor working between English and Hungarian as well as French and Hungarian, primarily on business, legal and financial documents, marketing and transcreation projects.
Business and financial translations by a qualified economist with an MSc in international relations and economics.
To help you with a variety of legal documents, I draw on extensive professional experience from my earlier career as a public servant and a DPSI in the English Law pathway.
I also provide translations for various EU institutions, armed with the professional experience of a former career diplomat.
A published literary translator, I am also involved in transcreation and marketing translation, helping clients to communicate with impact.
I started professional translation after a career in multilateral diplomacy where my linguistic abilities in both English and French were honed in the context of various international organisations. I have a track record in a range of subject matters with an economic or legal angle, such as human rights, humanitarian, migration and labour issues, and international development.
My strengths reflect this operational background: an ability to quickly grasp the big picture; to adapt to the individual requirements of my clients and their individual projects; and to find the right tone of voice for your message through different cultural settings.
As a result, I'm uniquely positioned to handle the most challenging of texts in my fields of expertise.
From a misleading adjective to a misplaced comma, I know what to look out for to provide consistently high-quality translations.
